ABOUT US

Brand and marketing strategy for companies that need to grow with direction.

APB works with organisations at moments when growth, change or complexity begin to demand clearer decisions.

We connect identity, positioning, marketing and business to make company value more recognisable and give leadership, teams and partners a shared direction for what happens next.

Architecture gave me the eye. Marketing gave me the ear.

APB emerged from the combination of two ways of working. Architecture taught me to look at systems, relationships, structure and context.

More than 15 years in marketing and leadership added another dimension: understanding markets, people and teams, and the distance that often exists between strong strategic intent and what actually happens in practice.

That combination still defines the way we approach every project: understand the system first, identify what genuinely needs to be solved, and turn complexity into usable decisions.

More capacity to execute makes direction more important.

It has never been easier to produce a campaign, a website, a presentation or dozens of pieces of content.

But faster execution does not solve uncertainty around positioning, priorities or value. The easier it becomes to make things, the greater the advantage of knowing what is worth making and why it contributes to what the company is trying to build.

That is the space APB works in.

Strategy built for organisations that need to work in the real-world.

The experience behind APB spans positioning, reputation, marketing strategy, brand transformation, culture and team development across B2B, B2C and B2B2C environments.

International perspective

Experience leading and coordinating marketing across multiple European markets, balancing different levels of maturity, context and local requirements.

Brand and business

Positioning, value proposition, brand architecture and communication connected to concrete business challenges and objectives.

Leadership and alignment

Work with leadership, marketing, sales, teams and partners to turn intent into shared priorities.

Training and facilitation

Creating environments where teams can discuss complex problems, make decisions and take ownership of the strategy.

Boutique proximity. Senior-level rigour.

APB was created to provide a close relationship with the people making decisions without sacrificing strategic depth.

Every project begins with the organisation’s context. Frameworks help structure the thinking, but they do not replace diagnosis or judgement.

When complementary capabilities are required, we can bring the right specialists into the project while maintaining a single strategic direction.

Senior involvement

Strategic work and critical project moments receive direct senior involvement.

Context before framework

We begin with the organisation’s reality and select the tools from there.

Strategy made usable

A recommendation is only complete when the organisation understands how to use it.

André Pereira Barbosa

FOUNDER & BRAND STRATEGY CONSULTANT

Brand and marketing strategist with more than 15 years of experience across marketing, communication and leadership, including international responsibility across multiple European markets.

Throughout that journey, his work has consistently sat between strategy and execution: positioning, campaigns, growth, culture, experience, teams and partners.

The same issue appeared repeatedly across organisations of different sizes: there is often a relatively clear idea of where the business wants to go, but that direction loses definition as it passes through more decisions, people and initiatives.

He created APB to work precisely in that space.

Today, he combines executive experience, strategic thinking and close involvement with the organisation’s context to help companies and leaders turn existing value into a clearer position and a direction that can actually be used.

HOW WE WORK

Clarity to decide. Coherence to accumulate value.

Clarity

Turn complexity into a direction that different people can understand and use.

Coherence

Maintain continuity between strategy, decisions, expression and experience as the company evolves.

Responsibility

Recognise that every decision contributes to what the organisation becomes and to the trust it accumulates.

Rigour

Make decisions based on context, evidence and explicit criteria rather than preference or impulse.

Culture

Create the conditions for direction to move beyond leadership and become shared across the organisation.

Sometimes the problem appears in communication. Its source may sit much further upstream.

An initial conversation helps identify where the main constraint lies and what the right starting point should be.
